Transformed, Not Conformed: Living by Romans 12:2
By Chris N. Braza
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." — Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
Breaking Free from the Mold
The world constantly pressures us to fit into its mold—its values, priorities, and desires. Society tells us how to think, what to chase, and what to accept as truth. But God calls us to something radically different. He calls us to transformation.
Transformation is not a surface-level change; it is a complete renewal from the inside out. While the world wants conformity, God wants transformation. Conformity is passive; transformation is intentional. Conformity enslaves; transformation liberates.
The Battle for Your Mind
Paul tells us that this transformation happens by the "renewing of your mind." The mind is the battlefield where spiritual victories and defeats occur. If our thoughts align with the world, we will live like the world. But if our minds are renewed through God's Word and the Holy Spirit, we will live out His perfect will.
Renewing your mind means feeding it with truth, rejecting lies, and allowing God’s wisdom to shape your perspective. It means replacing fear with faith, doubt with trust, and selfishness with surrender.
Proving the Perfect Will of God
When our minds are renewed, we gain clarity about God’s will for our lives. We no longer wander aimlessly or make decisions based on fleeting emotions. Instead, we walk confidently in His purpose, knowing that His will is always good, acceptable, and perfect.
God’s will is not just an abstract concept—it is something we live out daily. As we are transformed, our actions begin to reflect Christ. We love differently, serve selflessly, and shine as lights in a dark world.
A Daily Decision
Transformation is not a one-time event; it is a daily choice. Every morning, we must decide whether we will conform to the world or be transformed by God. Will we let culture shape us, or will we allow Christ to renew us?
The more we surrender to God, the more we reflect His glory. The more we seek Him, the more we see His power working in us. The more we renew our minds, the more we step into the fullness of His perfect will.
Today, choose transformation. Choose renewal. Choose to live out Romans 12:2, proving to the world that God's way is not only different—it is life-changing.
How will you renew your mind today?
Be Blessed Beyond Measure!

Amen, I AM now transformed.
