A Biblical Reflection for Mother’s Day
By Pastor Chris N. Braza
Today, we celebrate a divine gift — the gift of motherhood.
From the very beginning, God honored the role of mothers. In Genesis 3:20, Adam named his wife Eve, “because she would become the mother of all the living.” Motherhood is not just a role; it is a calling — sacred, powerful, and deeply spiritual.
To all mothers: your sacrifices may go unseen by the world, but they are seen by God. Your prayers whispered in the night, your love poured out in silence, and your tireless nurturing echo in heaven’s courts. You are the unsung warriors of faith, raising up the next generation with courage and compassion.
As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:5, the apostle Paul reminded Timothy of the sincere faith that “first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice.” Mothers — your faith leaves a legacy. You are sowers of seeds that will bear fruit for eternity.
On this special day, I honor you — not just as mothers, but as spiritual pillars, women of grace, and daughters of the King. May the Lord bless you, strengthen you, and fill your hearts with joy.
