God Delights in Your Prosperity
There was a time in my life when I thought that being a devoted Christian meant choosing between spirituality and success, as if you could only have one and not the other. I believed that if I desired to prosper, I was somehow less holy, less humble, or less devoted. But then I encountered this powerful truth:
“Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
God Is Not Against Your Prosperity
Let’s be clear: God is not intimidated by your dreams, your goals, or your desire to live a better life. In fact, He takes pleasure in it. Just like any good father, He celebrates when His children grow, succeed, and walk in fullness.
We’ve often reduced "prosperity" to just money. But biblical prosperity is so much more:
-
Peace in your home
-
Health in your body
-
Fruitfulness in your calling
-
Stability in your mind
-
Joy in your spirit
God doesn’t want you stuck, struggling, or surviving. He wants you thriving, because your success magnifies Him—it reflects His glory to the world.
A Servant Who Prospers
Notice this verse doesn’t say "God delights in the prosperity of the proud," but “His servant.” The prosperity that pleases God comes from a heart that is:
-
Obedient
-
Faithful
-
Humble
-
Aligned with His will
When we commit our gifts, time, and energy to serve Him and others, He responds with favor, blessing, and open doors. It’s not about chasing riches—it’s about walking in purpose. And where purpose flows, provision follows.
A Story of Divine Promotion
Let me share a quick story.
There was a young man who had nothing but faith. No big name, no connections—just a heart to serve God and work hard. He woke up early, prayed before making decisions, helped others without asking for anything in return, and stayed faithful even when no one was watching.
Years passed. Slowly, things began to change. God opened unexpected opportunities, sent the right people, and blessed the works of his hands. What once looked impossible became a living testimony of God’s goodness.
That man was me. And perhaps it’s you, too.
Your story isn’t over. Your season of prosperity is not a fantasy—it’s a promise. Psalm 35:27 is not just a poetic line; it's a divine truth waiting to manifest in your life.
Speak It, Believe It
The first part of Psalm 35:27 says:
"Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; and let them say continually..."
In other words, speak it. Declare it. Repeat it.
Let that become your confession—not just when things are going well, but even in the waiting, in the struggle, in the unseen moments.
Final Thoughts
Your prosperity is not just allowed by God—it’s celebrated by Him. He’s a Father who cheers for your victories, rejoices in your breakthrough, and takes joy in your growth. So pursue excellence. Dream big. Serve faithfully. And remember:
“Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
Don’t apologize for prospering. Instead, let your life be a billboard of God’s goodness. When you win with integrity, He gets the glory—and that’s the kind of wealth worth having.
BE BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE!
