Panggaganyak: Isang Tunay na Tanong ng Katarungan
Hindi lahat ng ipinatutupad ay ayon sa katuwiran ng langit. May mga batas na ginagamit upang apihin, patahimikin, o ikadena ang mahihirap at ang walang kapangyarihan.
Mensahe mula sa Biblia: Ang Hatol ng Diyos
Sinasabi sa Isaias 10:1-2 na ang Diyos ay galit sa mga gumagawa ng masamang batas. Hindi Siya bulag sa mga kautusang pumipinsala sa mga dukha, ulila, at biyuda. Ang Kanyang hustisya ay hindi naluluma, at ang Kanyang awa ay nakatuon sa mga naaapi.
Sa tuwing may batas na nagpapahirap sa kababayan nating kapus-palad, hindi lamang ito isyu ng gobyerno—ito ay isyu ng pananampalataya.
Halimbawa ng Batas na Maaaring Ituring na Di-makatarungan
Isa sa mga kontrobersyal na batas sa Pilipinas ay ang Anti-Mendicancy Law (Presidential Decree No. 1563), na nagbabawal sa pamamalimos sa kalsada. Sa layunin nitong panatilihin ang kaayusan, ito ay madalas na humahantong sa pagkakakulong o pagmumulta ng mga taong walang tahanan at naghahanap lang ng tulong.
Hindi makatarungan ang batas na walang alternatibo o konkretong programang pantao para sa mga apektado. Pinatahimik ang mahihirap, pero hindi tinutugunan ang ugat ng kanilang pagdarahop.
Panawagan sa Mananampalataya
Ang ating pananampalataya ay hindi dapat nananatili lamang sa simbahan. Tinatawag tayo ng Diyos na maging tinig ng katuwiran sa gitna ng katahimikan.
Hindi tayo dapat bulag sa mga batas na nagtatanggol lamang sa makapangyarihan, ngunit pinapahirapan ang mahina.
Manalangin tayo para sa mga mambabatas, ngunit higit sa lahat, manindigan tayo para sa katuwiran ng Diyos. Sa social media, sa ating komunidad, o kahit sa pamamagitan ng panalangin—makilahok tayo.
Pangwakas na Kaisipan
Ang Diyos ay Diyos ng katarungan. Hindi Siya nalulugod sa mga batas na pinapaboran ang makapangyarihan at sinasakal ang mahihina. Ang pananampalatayang walang malasakit ay pananampalatayang walang buhay.

Introduction: A True Question of Justice
As Christians, we are called to be vigilant, discerning, and bold in standing for God's righteousness even when the systems of this world promote injustice.
Not everything legal is moral. Some laws are made to silence, suppress, or burden the poor and powerless—and Scripture speaks clearly about this.
Biblical Message: God Judges Unjust Lawmakers
Isaiah 10 boldly declares God's warning: “Woe to those who make unjust laws...” This is not just political commentary—it’s divine judgment. God sees when leaders write laws that oppress the widow, the orphan, the poor, and the voiceless.
Every time a law is passed that protects the powerful while crushing the weak, it's not just a civic issue—it's a spiritual issue.
Example: A Law That May Be Considered Unjust Today
One controversial example in the Philippines is the Anti-Mendicancy Law (Presidential Decree No. 1563), which prohibits begging on the streets. While the law aims to maintain public order, it often results in penalizing homeless individuals who are simply asking for help to survive.
What makes this law troubling is that it does not offer a humane alternative for those it penalizes. It punishes poverty without addressing its root cause—a direct contradiction to God's heart for justice and compassion.
A Call to Christians
Our faith is not meant to be passive. God calls us to be voices of truth and righteousness in a world full of compromise.
We must not remain silent when laws protect the rich but crush the poor.
We can pray for our lawmakers—but beyond that, we must speak up, educate, and act in love and courage. Whether on social media, in our communities, or through quiet intercession, we must engage.
Final Thought
God is a God of justice. He is not pleased with systems or laws that exploit, silence, or ignore the needs of the weak.
A faith that has no concern for justice is a faith without life.
As Isaiah said:
“Woe to those who make unjust laws…”
Let us be the generation that stands for righteousness, that speaks for those who cannot speak, and that lives out the justice of God in every space we enter.
