Be Grateful For It is The Rightful Response For The Goodness of God.
I claim that every believer is called to give thanks to God, for His faithfulness and goodness are unchanging and everlasting. Gratitude is not optional—it is a command and a response to who God is.
The Bible establishes this rule clearly: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Psalm 100:5 also affirms, “For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.”
God’s Word rules that thankfulness is both His will and a reflection of His nature.
When we pause and count our blessings—life, strength, provision, protection, forgiveness—we see God’s fingerprints everywhere. Even in trials, His faithfulness sustains us. When bills are paid, when healing comes, when prayers are answered, that’s God’s goodness. And even when answers are delayed, His mercy holds us.
Therefore, we must not just thank God occasionally but live a lifestyle of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving shifts our focus from problems to the Problem-Solver, from worry to worship, from lack to abundance.
Therefore, like a case won beyond doubt, I conclude that we have every reason and obligation to give thanks to God. His goodness is evident, His faithfulness unshakable, and His mercies new every morning. Gratitude is our rightful response to a faithful God who never fails.
So today, let us not withhold thanksgiving. Let us declare boldly: “Thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and faithfulness that never end!”
Be Blessed Beyond Measure!
