Faith That Moves Mountains

Text: Mark 11:23–24

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

“Beloved Brethren, I present this truth: Faith-filled prayer has the authority to move mountains. The believer who trusts God without doubt can receive what they ask for.”

“The law of heaven is written in Mark 11:23–24. Jesus Himself laid down the divine principle: speak to the mountain, believe without doubting, and it will obey. Furthermore, verse 24 states the governing rule—when we pray, we must believe that we have received it, and it shall be ours. This is not man’s opinion but Christ’s decree.”

“Let us examine the evidence:

  • Case Exhibit I: Abraham, who believed God’s promise of a son despite old age. His faith was counted as righteousness.

  • Case Exhibit II: Joshua, who commanded the sun and moon to stand still—and they did.

  • Case Exhibit III: The early Church, who prayed for Peter in prison, and the angel of the Lord opened the gates.

These historical precedents prove the principle works. Now, members of the jury—our lives—must also apply this. What mountain stands in your way today? Is it sickness, financial lack, broken relationships, or fear? By faith, you are authorized to speak to it, command it to move, and believe it is already done in Jesus’ name.”

“The court of heaven has already ruled in favor of the believer. The verdict is clear: Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Therefore, let us approach God’s throne with confidence, present our petitions, and stand in faith. The case is settled—the mountains must move!”

Closing Line:
“As your lawyer of faith today, I rest my case on the eternal authority of God’s Word.”
