When God Writes the Timeline
By Chris N. Braza, Soul Care Ministry
There was a season in my life when I kept asking God, “Why not now?”
I was working. Praying. Building. Serving. Planning.
But nothing seemed to move at the speed I expected.
Have you ever been there?
You see others advancing. Expanding. Announcing breakthroughs. And you sit quietly in your own field, wondering if heaven misplaced your file.
Then the Word confronted me.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11
Not in my time.
Not in social media time.
Not in pressure time.
In His time.
That verse changed how I see delay. What I once called “late,” God called “process.” What I labeled “slow,” God called “formation.”
Because beauty that lasts is never rushed.
The Hidden Work of God
We admire the finished house, but we forget the foundation was buried first.
We celebrate the harvest, but we forget the months underground.
When God hides you, He is not punishing you. He is strengthening you. Roots grow in darkness before branches touch sunlight.
And if He exposed you too early, you would not survive the weight of your own blessing.
That realization humbled me.
Then another verse pierced deeper:
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” — Isaiah 60:22
Read that again.
“I, the Lord…”
Not your connections.
Not your network.
Not your manipulation.
Not your anxiety.
God Himself.
There is something powerful about divine acceleration. When God decides it is time, doors do not slowly open — they swing. Opportunities do not crawl — they align. Favor does not trickle — it flows.
People will call it sudden.
But you will know it was prepared.
The Danger of Comparison
Comparison almost made me question my calling.
But I learned this truth: different assignments require different timelines.
Some are built quickly because they are seasonal.
Some are built slowly because they are generational.
If God is taking time with you, it may be because what He is building through you must last beyond you.
That thought changed my frustration into focus.
Waiting Is Not Wasting
In the waiting season, God was shaping:
My patience
My character
My discernment
My dependence on Him
I thought I was waiting for a breakthrough.
God was preparing me to handle it.
And that is the part we rarely preach — the blessing can destroy the unprepared soul.
When the Time Is Right
There is an appointed moment with your name on it.
You cannot force it.
You cannot bribe it.
You cannot rush it.
But you can prepare for it.
And when it comes, it will feel right. Not chaotic. Not forced. Not desperate. It will carry peace because it carries God.
Today, if you feel behind, hear this clearly:
You are not behind.
You are being built.
The same God who makes everything beautiful in its time is the same God who says, “When the time is right, I will make it happen.”
Trust Him in the silence.
Serve Him in the process.
Stay faithful in obscurity.
Because when God writes the timeline, the ending is always beautiful.
