“He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” — Psalm 33:5
We live in a world where headlines are often filled with chaos, injustice, and uncertainty. It’s easy to feel like goodness is fading, like righteousness is losing its place, and like justice is only for the powerful. But Psalm 33:5 boldly declares something radically different: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Not partially filled. Not occasionally touched.
Fully filled. Overflowing. Saturated.
So what does that mean for us today?
First, it means that God’s character has not changed. He still loves righteousness. He still delights in justice. In a time when truth can feel relative and morality seems negotiable, this verse anchors us in a powerful truth: God is not confused about what is right. He is not silent about what is just. He is actively aligned with what is good.
Second, it challenges our perception. If the earth is full of God’s goodness, why do we sometimes fail to see it? The issue is not the absence of goodness—it is often the blindness of the human heart. We tend to magnify darkness and minimize light. Yet every sunrise, every act of kindness, every provision in times of need, every moment of grace—these are not coincidences. They are evidence. Evidence that God’s goodness is still at work.
Third, this truth calls us to become participants, not just observers. If God loves righteousness and justice, then so should we. If His goodness fills the earth, then we are called to reflect that goodness in our daily lives. In our homes. In our schools. In our communities.
Goodness is not just something we receive—it is something we release.
As believers, we are not meant to echo the darkness; we are meant to illuminate the goodness of God. When you choose integrity over compromise, you display His righteousness. When you stand for what is right, even when it is difficult, you embody His justice. When you show compassion to the undeserving, you reveal His goodness.
Finally, Psalm 33:5 gives us hope.
No matter how broken the world may seem, God’s goodness has not run out. It has not diminished. It has not been defeated. In fact, it is still filling the earth—quietly, powerfully, and consistently.
So today, shift your perspective.
Look again.
Believe again.
Live it out again.
Because the truth remains:
The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord—and you are called to be part of that goodness.
BE BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE!
