WHAT IS NECESSARY TODAY

By Chris N. Braza – Soul Care Ministry

In a world full of noise, speed, and endless options, the real question is not “What do I want?” but “What is truly necessary?”

We are living in a generation overwhelmed by excess but starving for essentials. Many are busy, but not purposeful. Connected, but not fulfilled. Equipped, but not transformed.

So what is necessary today?

BRAZAAR

1. Return to the Essentials of Life

Human beings have always needed the basics—food, rest, shelter, and relationships. Without these, life collapses.

But today, people are chasing luxuries while neglecting what sustains life.

You can have:

  • A strong internet connection
  • A growing business
  • A beautiful image online

…and still be empty inside.

Necessary today is not more—it is what is essential.

2. Clarity Over Confusion

We are drowning in information but lacking direction.

Many people know everything about trends but nothing about purpose.
They scroll for hours but cannot answer: “Why am I here?”

What is necessary today is clarity:

  • Clarity of calling
  • Clarity of identity
  • Clarity of direction

Without clarity, even success becomes meaningless.

3. Character Over Appearance

This generation is image-driven.

But God is still character-focused.

You can build a reputation in months—but character takes years.
And when pressure comes, only character remains.

Necessary today is integrity:

  • When no one is watching
  • When it is inconvenient
  • When it costs you something

Because in the end, who you are matters more than what you show.

4. Spiritual Connection Over Religious Activity

Many are active in religion but disconnected from God.

You can attend church, sing songs, and still be spiritually dry.

Jesus said, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing.”
That means:

  • No real fruit
  • No lasting impact
  • No true transformation

What is necessary today is not more activity—but abiding.

A real, daily, personal connection with God.

5. Purpose Over Pressure

People today are driven by comparison:

  • “They are ahead of me.”
  • “I am running out of time.”
  • “I need to catch up.”

That pressure is destroying peace.

But purpose brings alignment.

When you know your purpose:

  • You stop competing unnecessarily
  • You start focusing intentionally
  • You live with direction, not desperation

Necessary today is purpose—not pressure.

6. Love and Relationships Over Isolation

Even with thousands of followers, many feel alone.

Because real life is not built on likes—it is built on love.

Human beings are designed for connection, belonging, and relationship.

What is necessary today:

  • Real conversations
  • Genuine friendships
  • God-centered relationships

Because isolation weakens, but connection strengthens.

7. Discipline Over Distraction

Distraction is the silent killer of destiny.

You don’t need more time—you need more focus.

What is necessary today is discipline:

  • To wake up when it’s hard
  • To stay consistent when it’s boring
  • To finish what you started

Because success is not built in moments of excitement,
but in seasons of consistency.

Final Word: Back to What Matters

Philosophers say that true needs are those things without which life is harmed or cannot function properly.

That is the key.

If you remove something and your life collapses—
that is necessary.

So ask yourself:

  • If God is removed, what happens to your life?
  • If your purpose is removed, where will you go?
  • If your character is tested, will you stand?

Call to Reflection

Today, strip away the noise.

Return to what is necessary:

  • God
  • Purpose
  • Character
  • Discipline
  • Love

Because at the end of life,
you will not be judged by what was extra
but by what was essential.

Be Blessed Beyond Measure!
