GOD EQUIPS ME WITH STRENGTH
A Reflection on Psalm 18:32

ENGLISH VERSION
There are moments in life when we feel weak, exhausted, and overwhelmed. The burdens of family, ministry, work, finances, and personal struggles can leave us wondering if we have enough strength to continue. Yet Psalm 18:32 reminds us of a powerful truth: our strength does not come from ourselves—it comes from God.
King David wrote these words after experiencing numerous battles, dangers, and hardships. He understood that his victories were not the result of his own abilities alone. Behind every triumph stood the hand of God, empowering, guiding, and sustaining him.
The phrase "God arms me with strength" paints the picture of a warrior being equipped for battle. Every believer faces spiritual battles. Temptations, fears, disappointments, and uncertainties challenge our faith daily. Yet God does not send us into these battles unprepared. He equips us with courage, wisdom, endurance, and faith.
The verse also says that God "keeps my way secure." God not only gives us strength for the journey; He also directs our steps. Even when the road seems unclear, He remains our guide. His presence provides stability in a world filled with uncertainty.
Perhaps today you feel tired. Perhaps your prayers seem unanswered. Perhaps the challenges before you appear greater than your abilities. Remember this: God never calls His children to rely solely on their own strength. He invites them to depend on His.
When God is your source of strength, weakness becomes an opportunity for His power to be displayed. What seems impossible becomes possible through His grace.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for being the source of my strength. When I am weak, remind me that Your power is sufficient for me. Guide my steps, secure my path, and help me trust in Your strength rather than my own. In Jesus' name, Amen.

TAGALOG VERSION
May mga pagkakataon sa buhay na tayo ay napapagod, nanghihina, at tila nauubusan ng pag-asa. Ang mga responsibilidad sa pamilya, ministeryo, trabaho, at personal na mga suliranin ay maaaring magdulot ng matinding pagod sa ating katawan, isip, at kaluluwa. Ngunit ipinapaalala sa atin ng Awit 18:32 ang isang dakilang katotohanan: ang tunay na lakas ay nagmumula sa Diyos.
Isinulat ni Haring David ang mga salitang ito matapos niyang maranasan ang maraming laban, panganib, at pagsubok. Alam niya na ang kanyang mga tagumpay ay hindi bunga lamang ng kanyang sariling kakayahan. Ang Diyos ang kanyang lakas, gabay, at tagapagligtas.
Ang pahayag na "Ang Diyos ang nagbibigay sa akin ng lakas" ay larawan ng isang mandirigmang sinasandatahan bago humarap sa labanan. Bilang mga mananampalataya, mayroon din tayong mga espirituwal na laban. Hinaharap natin ang tukso, takot, pagkabigo, at mga pagsubok sa pananampalataya. Ngunit hindi tayo pinababayaan ng Diyos. Binibigyan Niya tayo ng karunungan, pagtitiis, tapang, at pananampalataya upang magtagumpay.
Sinasabi rin ng talata na "nag-iingat sa aking landas." Hindi lamang tayo binibigyan ng Diyos ng lakas; ginagabayan din Niya tayo sa tamang daan. Sa mga panahong tila malabo ang ating kinabukasan, Siya ang ating gabay. Sa gitna ng kaguluhan, Siya ang ating katatagan.
Kung ikaw man ay dumaraan ngayon sa mabigat na pagsubok, alalahanin mo ito: hindi ka inaasahan ng Diyos na umasa lamang sa sarili mong lakas. Inaanyayahan ka Niyang umasa sa Kanyang kapangyarihan.
Kapag ang Diyos ang pinagmumulan ng iyong lakas, ang iyong kahinaan ay nagiging pagkakataon upang mahayag ang Kanyang kapangyarihan. Ang mga bagay na tila imposible ay nagiging posible sa pamamagitan ng Kanyang biyaya.

Aming Ama sa Langit, salamat sapagkat Ikaw ang pinagmumulan ng aming lakas. Kapag kami ay nanghihina, ipaalala Mo na sapat ang Iyong kapangyarihan upang kami ay makatayo at magpatuloy. Ingatan Mo ang aming landas at tulungan Mo kaming magtiwala sa Iyo sa bawat hakbang ng aming buhay. Sa pangalan ni Jesus, Amen.
